Angela Eve was born on February 14th, 1948. She was the eldest of seven siblings who all knew her from an early age to be full of love, kindness & grace. As big sister, Angela was very protective of her siblings, acting somewhat as a mother on many occasions.
Angela was a brilliant child, mastering Mathematics and English at an early age. In school, she took a keen interest in Sports and Science and also excelled in these areas.
Angela, married to Stephen Eve, was the mother of five girls, Sue, Jamilla, Gracie, Isabella and June. She was also a proud grandmother to eight and great-grandmother of four. Her skills in all of thee roles were unparalleled, as she was naturally a carer and provider, with a keen sixth sense.
Family occasions would be marked by Angela’s famous cooking, live music and dancing. Angela’s laughter, kindness and generosity was a magnet that brought the entire family together.
Angela was born into a Catholic family and raised her children in the fear of God. She would often be seen reading her favourite book – the Bible and heard humming the tune to her favourite hymns. Her involvement in our church and neighbourhood helped many to improve their lives and strengthen their belief in God.
Angela’s favourite Bible text was Phillipians 4:13:
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
She lived her life with this belief and encouraged her friends and family to do the same – to always have faith in God’s power despite of the circumstances.
Angela passed away restfully in her sleep in the early hours of the morning of January 5th, 2023. She will be dearly missed by loving friends and family. However, the love that she showed will never be forgotten. We will carry her light and share her love with others. Thank you Angela for fulfilling God’s purpose for your life – may you rest in peace.
