Loving, Selfless & Kind
Angela, affectionately known as Ann was born in England on September 25, 1958 to Esmay and George Clarke. At a young age, Angela moved to Barbados with her younger brother, Robert Clarke. There, she grew up under the care of her grandmother and grandfather, along with other relatives.
Angela was known to many as a very caring, loving, selfless and kind person. She would give all she had to make sure that her friends and family had all that they needed.
Beautiful Mum & Gran
Angela, former wife of Victor Lewis, was the mother of two beautiful daughters, Summer and Kysanne, whom she loved dearly. Family celebrations would often be marked by dressing up and eating out. On numerous occasions, many persons would mistake Ann, Summer & Kysanne to be three sisters due to Ann’s ever youthful appearance.
In 2011 and 2016, Ann was also blessed with two grandchildren, Liam and Mirajay, whom she also loved dearly. Her time was often dedicated to helping them with homework or playing fun games to keep them entertained. Many others would also call Ann “mum” due to her friendly and caring demeanour.
A Helper at Heart
From an early age, Ann’s dream was to become a nurse. She was initially employed in Accounts as an employee of Standev Trading, Fish of Barbados Ltd and the Advocate Publishing Ltd.
In 2005, following her heart, Ann enrolled in the Barbados Community College to study Nursing. After graduating, she started her tenure first at the Geriatric Hospital and then moved on to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital of Barbados, where she was greatly loved by her workmates. Wherever she went, Ann exuded a spirit of love and created an atmosphere that would draw many to her. She was indeed a helper at heart.
We Will Never Forget
Angela entered into rest at the Royal Hospital of Sunderland, United Kingdom on Saturday, February 18, 2023 after an almost 4-year battle with cancer. Angela will be sorely missed. She was our light, our rock and our shelter. As a daughter, granddaughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, friend, nurse, her continuous sacrifices will never be forgotten.
It is our prayer and hope that the overwhelming love which Ann never ceased to show to others will always remind us to “do everything in love”.
“Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.”
– 1 Corinthians 13: 4 – 8

Sincere condolences. She will be missed.
I knew Angela well. Saying she was a caring and selfless person, does justice to whom she was.
What a caring, kind and loving soul..May you rest in eternal peace and soar with the angels..Gone too soon…Heaven wanted an angel
My Heartfelt Condolences to Angie’s two beautiful daughters, her grandchildren, and her other family members. Angie was my work colleague and a cherished friend. When I injured my back on the ward, and was on sickleave, Angie was the only person from my ward to call and check on me every day, taking the time out of her busy schedule, to find out how I was doing, and I would do the same for her. If I didn’t hear her, I would message her to check in, and she would do the same for me. She was a genuinely wonderful soul, and will be greatly missed. You are loved Angie, and I will cherish the memories I have of you, until we meet again.
My deepest condolences to you.
I have worked with Angela briefly as Church Treasurer while she assisted me as Assistant Treasurer. She always displayed patience, a willingness to help and always glowed with a captivating smile. She was always a ray of sunshine. Her absence would be felt. May she rest in peace as our Heavenly Father gives her children, family, relatives and friends strength to carry on in this difficult time of need. May God guide and direct and you all.
Deepest condolences to her daughters, grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
May the God of comfort be with you at this time of bereavement.
Sending our love and heartfelt condolences. Rest in peace Angela, we love and miss you🙏🏽♥️

RIP Cuz
Summer, Liam & Kysanne,
I only learned of her passing this morning. Words cannot express the shock and sadness I felt, and I know how I feel cannot compare to the love she had for you that you must be missing. I pray that you find strength in the memories shared with her over the years and know that she’s still keeping tabs on you guys. Keep making her proud!
Clarkie as we affectionately called her on Ward B4 was a gem. She was the only one that could brighten up a dull and stressful shift and even when I was down and out she found a way to always check up on me and make sure I was OK. I will cherish every moment spent with “shorty” and will never forget her. Now she is with Ramona and I know they are having a ball full of laughs and smiles.
I didn’t get to say goodbye or thank you but I know you know that I appreciate you always. Love Crissy
PS. You were right !!!!!
